The Two Escobars - Trailer
Beginning tonight at 9pm ESPN will be premiering their documentary series 30 for 30. The first documenary will be "The Two Escobars". Based around Pablo Escobar, who was a notorious drug kingpin who controlled close to 80% of the world’s cocaine business in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s and Andrés Escobar who was a promising defender of Colombia’s national soccer team. The Two Escobars attempts to connect the dots surrounding the theory that the brutal murder of Andrés was somehow purported by Pablo (who was gunned down more than half a year prior). Even if you’re not a soccer fan, and you’re completely indifferent about the World Cup that’s going on right now, this documentary shouldn’t be ignored. It explores how drug trafficking influenced many parts of Colombia’s favorite pastime, and how the lives of spectators, owners, and players were all affected because of it.

Open The Box - German Sneaker Culture Documentary
Sneaker culture is not something limited to the United States. Sneakerheads exist all over the world and Germany is no exception. Open The Box is a documentary set to release in 2010 about the sneaker culture in Germany. Unfortunately the trailer above is completely in German but hopefully when it is released there will be English subtitles. Fortunately most sneakerheads will be able to appreciate the visuals and and be familiar with the sentiment of what is going on in the clip regardless of the language barrier. Check it out.
