This past Friday marked the finale of New York Fashion Week and I didn't post anything because I wasn't able to make it to any shows this season; However just like everything else, you can find it all online. Which leaves me to post the coolest presentation I could find. Enter - Native Son who made a complete 3D presentation of their autumn 2010 collection. Directed by Eric Ray Davis the video actually requires 3D glasses to completely experience the presentation. Very Cool! Check It Out!
One of my favorite movies is finally coming out with a sequel, 23 years after the original. Incredibly enough, they got Michael Douglas to return for the part of the infamous Gordon Gekko. I honestly cant wait to see how this story plays out and how Gordon Gekko gets back on his feet after 2 decades in prison. Based on the trailer it looks like a great movie. Check it out!
Made with 35,000 Staples the Aggravure is comprised of to pieces of art entitled "Air Force One" and "Air Force Two" done by an artist by the name of Baptise Debombourg. The protagonist Icarus, the Mannerism of the Renaissance and the symbol of sublime power, Air Force One -the plane of the American President- are the main points in this work. The piece took 72 hours to install and is unlike anything I've ever seen. Very Cool.
New music video from Vampire Weekend entitled "Giving Up The Gun" from their 2nd Album "Contra." The video has tons of cameos with everyone from Daft Punk and RZA to Jake Gyllenhall and Lil Jon. Vampire Weekend is a band I've been following for quite some time now and the video and song are both pretty cool. Check it out!
Alexander McQueen was one of the best and brightest in the fashion industry and unfortunately he passed away today, February 11th, 2010 at the age of 40. He will be missed.
It's about that time for the Legendary Barney's Warehouse sale in NY again. The sale goes on from tomorrow February 11th until Sunday February 28th. And I'm letting you all know because if it wasn't for someone reminding me of the sale last time I would have missed out on getting a great deal on my 1st pair of Lanvins. Definitely Cool Table approved!
Location: 255 W17th Street (Between 7th and 8th Ave)
I really like this video. I've never heard the song before but it's pretty cool and being the movie buff that I am I think that it's also cool that they interpreted pieces of older movies in the video using everything from Godzilla to Tron to Donnie Darko. Check It Out! Very Cool.
I guess it's a bad habit of mine to not pay close attention to things that are not already on my radar, and I unfortunatley made the mistake of not paying close attention to the footwear of Giuliano Fujiwara. In today's footwear market Fujiwara has all of the things that make the hottest shoes hot. The usage of suede, vivrant colors, straps and high top sillouhette all make for a snekaer very attention worthy. Check em out. Very Cool! The pictures in this post are from the Spring / Summer 2010 season and should be available soon. These REALLY remind me of the Nike Air Yeezy
