Random Cool Table Moments

So being that I've pretty much grown tired of more or less RE-Blogging things that I have seen on other websites. I'm going to start posting things that I see in my day to day life in addition to things I find on the internet, because lets face it I think a lot of things are cool but whats cooler than real life madness?

My 1st post is from when I went out to Niketown NY to chill with my boy @Swizzie as he waited for his Royal Blue Penny Foamposites. Like all lines for a sneaker it was rediculously long, with a lot of familiar faces but on this night the NYC Fire Department in the area was having a drill and there were like 10 firetrucks out there. The had fake bodies on stretchers, the street was closed off and everything. But of ourse that doesnt stop the "sneakerhead" grind, neither did the temperature. It was FREEZING out there

I also have a picture of the dopest giraffe I have EVER seen. Its in the window of the Louis Vuitton store right across from Niketown. I had to take a pic.

Vampire Weekend - Giving Up The Gun (Video)

New music video from Vampire Weekend entitled "Giving Up The Gun" from their 2nd Album "Contra." The video has tons of cameos with everyone from Daft Punk and RZA to Jake Gyllenhall and Lil Jon. Vampire Weekend is a band I've been following for quite some time now and the video and song are both pretty cool. Check it out!

Ralph Lauren x The United Way - Haiti Relief Polo

There were many people out there like myself who heard about the disaster in Haiti and had no idea how to help. Sure you could donate $5 by texting with your cell phone but many people had their reservations about that. Ralph Lauren has decided to also contribute to the relief of Haiti and has teamed up with The United Way to release a limited edition "Haiti Relief" polo. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the relief efforts in Haiti through the United Way Worldwide Disaster Fund. You get to help out and get a really nice Ralph Lauren Polo shirt in the process. Very Cool.
Available in 4 colors.

Clipse - Freedom (Video)

DJ Muro x Kinetics x Timberland 7-Eyelet Boot

Since the Reemergence of the Ralph Lauren Polo Ranger Boot, or Cookie Boot, Timberland has been pretty consistent with a steady stream of their 7-Eyelet Boot which is definitely a great alternative to the beloved cookie boot. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a purist and If I don't get the Polo boots I's probably get the Eastland boots that look like these BUT the collaboration that Timberland has done with Japanese Based Hip Hop DJ, DJ MURO and Kinetics is pretty dope. They definitely look a bit christmas-y but at the end of the day who doesn't have a flannel of plaid shirt that would crush these. I'm diggin em. Very Cool

White/Cement Air Jordan III Retro to be Re-Released in 2010! Thank You JB

THEY DID SOMETHING RIGHT! Jordan Brand will be re-releasing the White/Cement Air Jordan III in a "Slam Dunk" Pack along with the OG colorway of the Air Jordan II. In the tradition of recent releases like the Countdown and Defining Moments Packs, another accomplishment from Michael’s career will be honored next year with the Slam Dunk Pack. The pack will contain both pairs of kicks that Mike wore when winning back to back Slam Dunk Contest titles in 1987 and 1988. That means that the OG Air Jordan II from ‘87 and the White/Cement Air Jordan III from ‘88 will both be available in one amazing pack coming in 2010. Take a look at the highlights from both Slam Dunk Contests below
Mike wore the [Air Jordan II] pair on the left in the '87 Slam Dunk Contest, however both colors are OG colorways that debuted in '86 & '87

A.P.C Opens It's London Flagship Store

At one point the A.P.C "New Cure" was my favorite pair of jeans, until they mysteriously went down a size or two after i got it back from the dry cleaner. The allure of A.P.C's quality merchandise at great price points definitely make the brand Cool Table approved.
Jean Touitou and A.P.C continue their global expansion with a new London-based flagship store. Designed by the brand’s in-house architect Laurent Deroo, the shop features a stunning interior. A.P.C.’s new Dover Street store is divided over two levels, and houses both menswear and womenswear collections.

10.Deep Fall 09 Lookbook Prieview

10. Deep Fall 2009 Preview Trailer from
10 Deep
on Vimeo.

I didn't immediately post this because of how short the video is... I guess thats why it's called a "preview". But its pretty cool and I want to give you guys a look into 10.Deep's Fall 2009 line. The line is based on 10.Deep's salute to the losers, outcasts, miscreants, naysayers, and problem children who drive change in our culture. The line looks good and they did a good job on the video. 10 Deep has been Cool Table approved for years, so check out the video and let me know what you think

Kaws 4Ft Dissected Companion

1st let me say that Kaws is my FAVORITE artist. I have been purchasing his clothing since he originally started working with BAPE. The dissected Bearbrick that came out not too long ago is my favorite random item in my room. The Grey Dissected Companion has been my desktop image for months and now the actual item is being released and its not coming cheap. At $6,000 the "companion" is 4ft tall and doesn't do much besides stay still. However, it is considered a highly sought after piece of artwork by many in the art world and would definitely be an investment if i cold afford it. Either way...VERY COOL. Look out for this to be released at your local Original Fake retailer soon.

Go Green. Gold Is Old!

This is taking "Going Green" to a whole new level. Growing Jewelry by Hafsteinn Juliusson has come up with a new concept of wearing actual plant life. The concept is to take care of the grass well enough so that the plant flourishes enough to look even more individual than they already are. What do you think? Is this the future of jewelry?
