I have been going back and forth on if I should post this or not but the truth is I actually really like this item. A Bathing Ape has released a new rug for it's Spring/Summer 2010 collection with a British flag as a theme on top of the classic "Ape Face" design. It's now available at Bape store worldwide. Just don't put it in a high traffic area because it looks like it would get FILTHY really quickly.

Bape x The Beatles
Say what you want about Bape but this collection is CRAZY, especially for all of those Beatles fans out there. The V-Neck sweater, Sgt. Pepper album cover shirt and the one with all 4 Beatles inside the Ape's head are my favorites. Check 'em out. No word on a release date but stay tuned for updates. Very Cool!

URSUS Bape Melton Jacket
As much as I want to leave A Bathing Ape in my fashion past, there is always something that they put out that draws me right back in. Bape puts out an URSUS collection every year and this year's collection includes their Melton Jacket. The jacket made of melton wool comes in two colorways and is styled after the classic college jacket, which is probably what drew me in. The jacket has a very vintage look to it, even though its a new item. And the best part is that the front of the jacket is very clean and basic while the back features a fully embroidered graphic. I would definitely wear this on a nice autumn night while I was hanging out. Very Cool.
This Jacket will be available on November 11th at Bape the flagship store here in NYC at 91 Greene Street

A Bathing Ape Pirate Store Opening
Today marked the opening of the Bathing Ape Pirate store in NYC. As usual there was a long line that I hear wrapped around the block to get in. Below are the pics of the line. In the back of my mind I'm thinking "Damn...look at these hypebeast" but in all actuality these guys are fueling the movement. Most of them are only there for re-sale value but for the few out there to "cop and rock" good looking out on keeping that aspect of the culture alive. The Bathing Ape Pirate store is essentially a Pop-up shop that will only be open until monday September 7th @ 6pm. So if you want to check it out it's located at 286 Lafayette Street New York, NY 10012. The store should carry a lot of one offs, samples and things you probably cant find in the regular store anymore.

IT'S FINALLY DROPPING! Bape x G-Shock DW-6900
All of my original "Bape Heads" that have been following Bape since way before the SoHo store opened know that this is the watch that started it all. This watch in both white and black colorways were the original Bape G-Shocks that were released in Japan. Here in the US we didn't get a chance to see the release of this colorway until now. On August 23rd, anyone looking for this watch can pick it up in Bathing Ape store nationwide.

Bape x Pokemon?
Like I've said before, I am over the whole Bape hype, but every now and then there are certain things that draw me back in. I have gotten mixed reviews about this one but I guess I'm gonna make an executive decision and just say I think this is kind of cool. Bape has worked with Hello Kitty, Kaws, Disney,Kanye West, Pharrell and most recently Ghostbusters in the past. I guess Pokemon is the newest collaboration and it looks interesting...to me. Lol. What do you think?
