VMAN 21: The Thrill Of The Game Issue

This Tuesday, February 8th is going to mark the release of the newest issue of VMAN. The 21st issue of the magazine will feature none other than Kanye West, shot by fashion icon Karl Largerfeld, on the cover of the magazine. VMAN uses a literal "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is" spin on the cover of the magazine by putting actual money in the mouth of the magazines cover-boy.

VMAN will be having a release event for the "Thrill of The Game" issue on February 7th in NYC. Look out for an update with pictures from the event, most likely taken with my blackberry, to be uploaded later on. An assembly line, much like the one in the above video will be seen at the event taking place at the VISIONAIRE Gallery in SOHO.

Next Month's Complex Magazine Cover Featuring Drake

I honestly posted this because I am really beginning to like what Complex has been doing with their covers. From the Clipse x Kaws cover, to the Young Jeezy x Espo cover, the last Eminem cover and now this, it just always seems that Complex magazine covers grab your attention and I like it. Artwork doesnt always have to be on a canvas, sometimes it can show up at your local magazine stand. Very Cool.

Visionaire 2010 x EVERYBODY

The 57th edition of Visionaire, dubbed The Visionaire 2010 i definitely something special and collectable. 52 important figures played the role of curator for this new issue of the magazine, each then selected 7 artists making a total of 365 artists, and one image per artist. These 365 images were then grouped into a desktop calendar with Smart, with 1 photo for each day of the year. The list of participants in this project would be too long to give, so just to name a few: Klaus Biesenbach (MoMA), Francesco Bonami (Whitney Biennial 2010), Massimiliano Gioni (New Museum), John Baldessari, Louise Bourgeois Maurizio Cattelan, Ugo Rondinone, Pharrell Williams, Mario Testino, Herzog & de Meuron, Natalie Portman, Tilda Swinton, Raf Simons, Marc Jacobs, Bruce Nauman, Gabriel Orozco, Olafur Eliasson, Steve McQueen, Kaws, Agathe Snow, Douglas Gordon… and so many others! Sept. 09 Esquire UK Magazine in Hardcover

Not many magazines are willing to take risk at a time when subscriptions are at an all time low, but Esquire UK has decided to go all in and publish their september issue in hardcover which is practically a completely new concept for a magazine.
The issue itself is a september suit issue and it interviews Vincent Cassel and Quentin Tarantino amongst other suit related things. As you’d expect for an issue like this, it’s limited edition. Very Cool.
