Kaws x Disney - Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket Figures

What we have here is hopefully a first look at an upcoming Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket figure from Kaws in collaboration with Disney (and of course Medicom Toy). This was premiered at Kaws recent museum exhibition at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Connecticut. Unfortunately the piece was listed under "Collection of Artist" at the time of the exhibition. Only time will tell if this will ever be put on sale to the public. Either way the toy itself is Very Cool!

UPDATE:

This Kaws toy WILL be released this year (2010) pending no production errors. Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket will come together as a set. I cant wait...Very Cool!

Original Fake x Medicom "Companion" Bearbrick - Black Version

It has been only about a month since the last Kaws bearbrick but it seems as though Kaws is giving the collectors what they want ASAP and releasing the Black version of his dissected bearbrick companion on May 8th. This color rounds out the 3 possible colors for this figure and is my favorite one thus far even though I also have the 1st two. The toy comes in 1000%, 400% and 100% and they are also releasing a matching t-shirt. Very Cool!

Brand Shout : Caperino & Peperone

The brainchild of creative multi-faceted agency Kuntzel + Deygas, the Caperino & Peperone characters have become popular fixtures often tied to famous parisian boutique Colette. For the 2009 Fall/Winter season, Hong Kong retailer JOYCE has teamed up with Kuntzel + Deygas to release a collection of items ranging numerous different types of products and accessories. They include everything from rugs to jewelery and lanterns among other items. The items will be available at JOYCE on November 17th, 2009. Now word yet on a US release.

OriginalFake x Undercover "Rebel Bear"

The latest collaboration from Kaw's OriginalFake brand is with Japanese brand Undercover for their "Rebel Bear" Vinyl Toy. The iconic Undercover teddy bear graphic becomes a vinyl figure and gets paired up with the Kaws Companion character, which is lying in the arms of the bear. The toy seems to be coming in two colorways and a September release is expected.
