New Lanvin Hi-Top Heat

This season Lanvin man is dropping an interesting navy/red "Zig-Zag" pattern on their hightop model shoe. Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz were inspired by the street and their friends whom they wanted to dress in a " smart - untidy " style. I think that pretty much sum up my style so I would def rock out with these. Check em out. Available now at Colette. Very Cool

Karl Largerfeld x SpongeBob Square Pants Plush Toy

A SpongeBob SquarePants plush given a makeover by Karl Lagerfeld attracted the highest bid at a recent Paris fundraiser for WWF, generating 1,000 Euros (Approx. $1,499 USD) at current exchange. Numerous local personalities had autographed iconic objects linked to the cartoon character for the auction, which altogether raised 7,000 Euros (Approx. $10,491 USD), including Inès de la Fressange, French singer Patrick Bruel and Greek TV presenter Nikos Aliagas.

Nike x DJ AM Nike Dunk

Since the unfortunately death of DJ AM, many have wondered if the Nike Dunk he designed will ever release. DJ Premier recently mentioned on his show that the DJ AM Dunk was still on schedule and earlier today Kasina confirmed this by surprisingly releasing them. This collaboration Dunk features DJ AM’s logo on the tongue, black patent leather wrapping much of the shoe, red premium leather for the toebox, side panels and the upper heel while a light grey swoosh and a white midsole round out the shoe. A unique feature are the three rows of perforations along the heel with 3M underneath, similar to the dots of a Technics Turntable for RPM reading. Stay tuned for updates on an actual release.

Open The Box - German Sneaker Culture Documentary

Sneaker culture is not something limited to the United States. Sneakerheads exist all over the world and Germany is no exception. Open The Box is a documentary set to release in 2010 about the sneaker culture in Germany. Unfortunately the trailer above is completely in German but hopefully when it is released there will be English subtitles. Fortunately most sneakerheads will be able to appreciate the visuals and and be familiar with the sentiment of what is going on in the clip regardless of the language barrier. Check it out.

LEGOS for Adults

I came across this on Kanye's blog and it amazes me at what people can do with LEGOS. The artist is Jean-Yves Lemoigne and he did this spread for French based Amusement magazine. Enjoy

Mishka x Phenomenon Leather Keep Watch Jacket

My eyes literally bugged out when I saw this jacket. I am a big fan of all things "Keep Watch" from Mishka. There's something about that eyeball that I really like and for their Holiday '09 season Mishka has teamed up with Japanese based clothing line Phenomenon to make a leather version of their Keep Watch Coach Jacket. The jacket features a chenille tonal applique of "Phenomenon" written in Russian on the back with a full color Phenomenon Arm-Loop pattern lining. The jacket will be available at select locations including the Mishka store at 350 Broadway as well as at the Mishka web store.

Tim Burton at The MoMA

From November 22nd, 2009 until April 26th 2010, Tim Burton will be having an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Taking inspiration from popular culture, Tim Burton has reinvented Hollywood genre filmmaking as an expression of personal vision, garnering for himself an international audience of fans and influencing a generation of young artists working in film, video, and graphics. This exhibition explores the full range of his creative work, tracing the current of his visual imagination from early childhood drawings through his mature work in film. It brings together over seven hundred examples of rarely or never-before-seen drawings, paintings, photographs, moving image works, concept art, storyboards, puppets, maquettes, costumes, and cinematic memorabilia from such films as Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman, Mars Attacks!, Ed Wood, and Beetlejuice, and from unrealized and little-known personal projects that reveal his talent as an artist, illustrator, photographer, and writer working in the spirit of Pop Surrealism. The gallery exhibition is accompanied by a complete retrospective of Burton’s theatrical features and shorts, as well as a lavishly illustrated publication.

FINALLY! They have released the pic of the Alife x Reebok Pump Collaboration and they did not disappoint. Its amazing how Alife can make a simple colorway look so dope. It features a clean and simple off-white colored nubuck upper, white accents, and a gum outsole. The emrbroidery, including the ARC Sports logo by the toe, is all done in black. These release on November 20th at the ARC Sports Store and I dont know if will be able to get one of only 31 pairs but I would REALLY like a pair. Camp Time? I don't know but these are Very Cool!

Bonus: All 20 Pairs of the Reebok Pump 20th Anniversary Collaborations

Not Cool : Pierre Hardy "Colorama" Sneakers

Photobucket
I haven't done a "Not Cool" post in a while and although I have seen a few things unworthy of sitting at the Cool Table (Jordan 2010) I just REALLY do not like these. Some people say Pierre Hardy shoes look like Lanvin shoes, I disagree. I never really liked the design on this model and although I wear a lot of wild shoes I'm not feeling these. So agree or disagree but these just aren't cool to me. Also they are called the "Colorama"...C'mon son....Pause. They are limited to 500 pairs and are available now at Colette for those of you who disagree with me...which is fine.

Mighty Healthy Online Exclusive Tees

The guys over at Mighty Healthy have re-opened their online shop and they have a few online exclusives that coulght my eye. My favorite one being the NY tee because I'm pretty sure there are a lot of native New Yorkers like myself that share this sentiment about some people. The American Psycho tee is cool too. Check out all of their tee's HERE.

Death of Deadstock by NiceKicks

I read a very interesting article over @Nicekicks and I don't normally post full articles from other blogs but I really found this one interesting. It goes into the reason why the culture of collecting and storing deadstock (never worn) sneakers is dying out. Referencing everythting from older shoes cracking to the recession. The article was a very interesting read that I pretty much agree with since I've tried selling a pair of deadstock kicks only to have to settle for a price lower than I wanted and I have also had to deal with the dreadful cracking of a deadstock pair that I wore for the 1st time. Check out the article HERE. Or head over to Nicekicks.com

EXACTLY how my 2000 Infared Jordan VI's looked the DAY I Un-DS'd them. It was a VERY sad day for me.

Bape x The Beatles

Say what you want about Bape but this collection is CRAZY, especially for all of those Beatles fans out there. The V-Neck sweater, Sgt. Pepper album cover shirt and the one with all 4 Beatles inside the Ape's head are my favorites. Check 'em out. No word on a release date but stay tuned for updates. Very Cool!
