A Bathing Ape Pirate Store Opening

Today marked the opening of the Bathing Ape Pirate store in NYC. As usual there was a long line that I hear wrapped around the block to get in. Below are the pics of the line. In the back of my mind I'm thinking "Damn...look at these hypebeast" but in all actuality these guys are fueling the movement. Most of them are only there for re-sale value but for the few out there to "cop and rock" good looking out on keeping that aspect of the culture alive. The Bathing Ape Pirate store is essentially a Pop-up shop that will only be open until monday September 7th @ 6pm. So if you want to check it out it's located at 286 Lafayette Street New York, NY 10012. The store should carry a lot of one offs, samples and things you probably cant find in the regular store anymore.

Cool Cats x Married to the Mob 5th Anniversary Party

This is probably going to be the most fun I've had on a Sunday in a long time assuming I get in lol. Married to the Mob and Parisian conglomerate, the Cool Cats will be having a 5th Anniversary Pre-Fashion Week Party. The event will take place this Sunday, September 6th at SubMercer in NYC with performances by Busy P, DJ Mehdi, and La Jauretsi. There should definitely be a good amount of nice looking ladies there, so it should be a cool event.

Brand Shout : Nom De Guerre

Nom De Guerre has come a long way since their hoodies and t-shirts that I used to buy in their downstairs boutique on Broadway with my homegirl Chee. Here is a lookbook of their Fall 2009 Collection. I'm really feeling where they took the line, they have been quite progressive in these last years. The lookbook features photography from Erik Swain and appearances by Jamil Ramirez, Ali Mehrabian, Egil Rostad, Michael Russo, Michael John Whittaker, Tal Lee, Terry Murphy, Christopher Purpura, and Michael John Whittaker. Check it out.

Bramford & Sons for Colette Custom Rolex

Since 2004, Bamford & Sons has been customizing iconic watches. The London adapters continue their work with a new design inspired by Colette. Using the French boutique’s powerful sea-blue as background, Bamford & Sons have created a fresh look, for a familiar Rolex model. Further details include the Colette logo and a black lightening bolt-shaped second hand. Available from September 9th at Colette

Possible Jordan VII "Bordeaux" Retro?

If these actually drop, I think I may buy 3 pairs. I have been looking for these for a LONG time. Very true to the original in both color and materials the Air Jordan VII "Bordeaux" may be set to retro soon. Here we have a product sample from jordan brand that just released today. Hopefully they get their minds right, leave the sample as is and release these. I would be a very happy camper.

Site Shout : SneakGeekz

Normally I dont post other people's blogs or websites but I have met Mr. SneakGeekz on a few occasions and he is a really cool guy. I don't know how he does it or who he knows but he always seems to get all the new hot kicks early and every one knows the cool kids gets the flyest kicks 1st. LOL. Check out his site where he has numerous youtube videos where showing all types of sneakers up close. He usually gives a better view/explanation of what the shoe actually looks like than most websites. I've posted his latest video below of the latest Futura x Nike Collaboration Air Force 1. Check it out.

Nike Air Carnivore Retro

The Nike Air Carnivore will be retroed in Summer 2010, nearly 16 years after it's original release. Defineatley a classic. I don't know if could pull them off but I know there are a few guys out there that have been waiting for these for a while. Shout out to my boy YaK who put me on to these a few years back and has been looking for a crispy pair ever since.
